Betsy Morret

Hollyhurst Farm was established by Betsy in May 1986.

Betsy has worked in the equestrian business for almost 40 years.  Her early riding career involved breaking, training and getting youngsters to the show ring.  Many of those years she retrained OTTB and introduced them to their new careers beyond the racetrack.

Throughout her riding career she rode in several disciplines and with many instructors.

As she turned her skills to Hunter/Jumpers she was influenced by and schooled with notable

trainers such as Gary Duffy and Danny Robertshaw.

18 years ago when Hollyhurst opened it was a boarding, training, breeding and lesson program.

For many years Hollyhurst had a breeding program as well.  Their homebred youngsters have

gone on to have successful careers in the hunter world.

Currently, Betsy is teaching students at all riding levels. From beginners who attend schooling

shows to National A rated competitions. Her students have qualified for and ribboned in Pony Finals, PA National Horse Show, Washington, Zone 2 Finals and Junior Hunter Finals.

Betsy takes great pride in watching her students’ progress and helping them achieve

their goals.

Her favorite thing is bringing along young prospects from green broke, to their first horse show

and then on to their new show homes.  She is currently training and marketing several sale horses.
